Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is moving quickly with The Interview. In the wake of the film’s much-publicized theatrical and VOD release, Sony has set February 17th for the debut of The Interview on Blu-ray and DVD.
The disc, subtitled The Freedom Edition, will have a suggested retail price of $19.99 for the Blu-ray and $14.99 for the DVD.
As for bonus features, the disc will include a commentary by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Franco; an episode of the Discovery Channel’s “Naked and Afraid” featuring Seth Rogen; a gag reel; and Randal Park’s (Kim Jog-un) audition tape.
During the press day for Project Almanac (which opens January 30th), Collider editor Steve Weintraub spoke with producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. Mr. Weintraub inquired about the status of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, and the producers revealed that the film is scheduled to be released on June 3, 2016, with photography beginning in New York this April.
The producers also shed light on potential new characters in TMNT 2, which were created for TMNT 1 but not used…
We designed and we did lots of work on all of them and then only so many fit in the box and luckily we have another chance to make another one of these movies and some of those characters.”
